Gordon Lee Cranmore, 62, Danville Route 4, died unexpectedly at his home at 4:15 a.m. yesterday (Jan. 21, 1968). He had lived at the Route 4 address 12 years. Born Aug. 19, 1905, in Veedersburg, Ind., he was a son of Claude and Corinth Young Cranmore. Surviving are his widow, Dorothy; a son, Jerry, a Danville police officer; a sister, Georgia Cole, Danville; his stepfather, Homer Trimble, grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Cranmore was past owner of the G&J Auto Parts store. He was formerly employed at the General Motors plant in Tilton. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge, Patriarch Militant and the Marsh Encampment. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. C. Eugene Darling officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
